Threat dream meaning is explained below using 7 different sources. Each interpretation is shown with its source.

Interpretation 1 — Eric Ackroyd

(I) If in a dream you are threatened, the thing threatening you is either within or outside you.

Internal things that may threaten include emotions (fear and resentment, for example) and your sexuality. The emotion or instinct may have been repressed and play little part in vour conscious life - except, perhaps, when it erupts from time to time, causing embarrassing situations. Such things need to be looked at, their causes unravelled (if

possible), and their energy deployed in a creative and personally enriching way.

External things that may threaten include relationships at home and at work, or some recent event in either of these areas: for example, the birth of a child, or a new management regime.

(2) If you are doing the threatening in the dream, the dream may be expressing self-assertion (e.g. some resolution to sort out any disorder in your psyche); or your unconscious may be drawing your attention to the fact that you have repressed some valuable part of yourself.

Interpretation 2 — Martha Clarke

If you dream that you are threatening someone, it may mean that you need to impose yourself in real life. However, if you are the one being threatened you must discover the cause of this situation. Some dreams have a climate so disturbing that it is difficult to find out who or what causes them. Chances are it is all derived from the problems you have in your relationships. You might be emotionally threatened by your partner, your parents, or your boss. Finally, those feelings the individual tends to repress—such as resentment, anger, fear, and eroticism—can also be fighting to become visible.

Some oracles consider the meaning of this dream is suggesting the opposite. So, everyone will behave in a sweet and affable manner towards you.

Interpretation 3 — Ibn Seerin

Receiving a threat in a dream means victory over one’s assailant, opponent, or adversary, or it could mean developing a defence mechanism against any danger from that side.

If the threat comes from an unknown person, such a person is a Satan, particularly if the threat is directed against one’s prayers, charitable actions, or devotion.

A threat in a dream also represents the trials of a love story.
