Duel Dream Meaning

Many stories for kids are full of oneiric symbology and illustrate psychologic processes. An example of this is present on Lewis Carroll’s characters: Tweedledum and Tweedledee. They represent internal facets of a subject’s childhood.

wounded in a duel, being: damage to your standing with others.

killed: warning of trouble.

A duel with weapons in a dream means marriage to someone whose character is similar in interpretations to the weapon one is carrying in his dream. Wearing armature during a duel in a dream means marriage to a rich but deceiving person, for part of the human body is covered during the combat.

A duel with swords in a dream means honor. Waving a sword during a duel in a dream means becoming known in one’s field.

If it is the latter, you already know the antagonists; if it is the former, you must try’ to identify them by being each of them in turn, in imagination. Get a dialogue going between the two, letting each present his case. Then allot to each of them an appropriate role in your conscious life.

The conflict will almost certainly be between your conscious ego and your unconscious, which means that usually you will only have one antagonist to identify.
