If one enters a grave but does not witness a funeral in his dream, it means that he will buy a house. Digging a grave in a dream means getting married, though through tricking the woman to get her consent. Standing over a grave in a dream means committing a sin. The presence of a grave implies that the death has already occurred.

The person in the grave, if you know him or her, will give you clues to the consideration of what aspects of self are under consideration. Perhaps you are mourning something or someone from your past.

A secondary symbolic meaning has evolved that has emerged through the media.

A graveyard is also home to all of the dark elements associated with death: ghouls, goblins, vampires, and other creatures of the night. This setting in a dream may symbolize the fear of death and be an indication that you are in the realm of shadow material.
